What a stunningly beautiful place this is. I have visited twice now and enjoyed the changing views from summer to winter. The camp sites are well serviced with good spacing between pitches and this makes for an atmosphere of peace and relaxation. The water always looks inviting and the boat launch facility at the South end of the reservoir is very large and well run. The impressive cliff face which gives the reservoir its name is best viewed by walking down one of the footpaths on the East edge of the water. These are rough pathways and not accessible to those with walking difficulties though. All the parking places along the East bank of the reservoir provide spectacular views at all times of the year. They have showers, but charge for those as well, and the dump station.. you guessed it! You have to pay for that too! I'm shocked that a state/county run campground would be so expensive, especially since the sites aren't that great and you are right next to a highway, so constant traffic noise. I would definitely not...
