The jetties and beach area are very nice and usually not crowded, which may be because it's not so easy to get to. Once you park, it's a long ahh walk just to get to the long ahh path that takes you to the top of the beach where there's then another long ahh walk to the jetties at the end. If nothing else, it's great exercise, but there IS so much else. An absolutely beautiful beach that's not crowded and rocks to walk down to get to the water. Be careful for waves when large ships go by tho! There's signs that say the beach is for the building, but no one's ever bothered me, and my philosophy is to leave the place cleaner than when I arrived. I actually pick up trash that lazy or selfish people leave behind. Last time I went with a friend it was the air show weekend and we got unexpected front row seats to practice flights. One went over us all close and Top Gun like. It was absolutely amazing!

The best viewing platform where you might encounter large luxury cruise ships on Saturdays and Sundays A paradise for sea fishing enthusiasts You just need to walk a small road to encounter beach stones. There are no signposts nearby. Need Google Maps to navigate slowly Personal photography is also recommended Just be careful as there are many small stones on the bottom of your feet. The sea breeze is nice Early morning or evening is recommended

It's been a long time since we've been to Ft. Lauderdale and wow has it changed. We stayed within walking distance to the Jetties and walked down the beach to show our 5 year old granddaughter the big ships coming in and she loved it. She even got a few to wave at her. It such a cool place to just sit and chill for a bit and watch everything going on. Can't wait to go back thats for.

Parking can be a bit tricky. There's a sandy trail 👣 through the buildings to the beach its a really dope location. Its got huge rocks and the sand it self is beautiful. Its actually quite windy. Once at night i saw a turtle laying eggs.. it spooked me at first had no clue. Lots of people enjoy this area. Its also kinda isolated from the road ways. So maybe less traffic then further up. The homes look fire. So tall and magical. Like every where it has litter, bottles in the sand and plastic. Idk guess they should put more garbage bins out there or unless people grow up and take their carbon footprint with them. Respect the spot....

I hate it at the jetties! Actually it is my favorite part of the beach for certain things. Fishing is pretty good from the rocks you can see to, and past, the rock bar that goes out perpendicular to the beach. It is also a great spot if you want a quieter beach spot. Be careful! There is a someone who patrols the few parking spots available. You will get a ticket here. I swear she sits there every evening just waiting to write tickets. Sometimes she...
