Location, location, location. This park is located right on the water which provides a very stunning view. There are several small and large pavilions for rent or are available at a first come, first serve basis. Amenities also include a large playground, small playground, swings, a splash pad (must push buttons for water to dispense), volleyball court, tennis court, plenty of open space for activities, boat ramps, plenty of parking, and restroom facilities. The primary reason I am giving three stars is because I reserved a large pavilion several weeks in advance and the day of my event, a group had already set up and decorated for their function because Parks & Recreation staff didnât put up a reservation sign for my party. It took the people that were there over an hour to unpack and relocate. Long story short, it caused a lot of inconvenience for my sonâs 1st Birthday party and they didnât offer a discount, refund, apology or anything. Iâm giving an average review of three stars because I love the location and how itâs conveniently located near several restaurants, itâs a large park with a nice playground area, and it provides a beautiful, waterfront view. I paid over $100 to rent a pavilion and wasnât able to get a hold of any staff that day to help with my accommodations. For that price, customer service should...
Read moreJaycee Park is one of the hidden wonders on the treasure coast. I didnât know about this park until I was invited to a childâs birthday party. I must say this was the best kept secret. The park is situated on Ocean drive (Iâm not sure if this is still considered Fort Pierce or Hutchison Island). The park is well maintained and clean. There are local officers/park officer driving around to ensure safety. The parking was a little confusing finding the entrance into the lot. There is access to the water for those who would like to utilize water motor craft. The park has a water pad section for kiddies as well as toddler and older children swings. A fort like slide and jungle bars, lots of sidewalks if you want to walk or take the babies for a stroll or even catch a quick jog. There are also several pavilions equipped with table/bench combinations to host parties with prior approval from the parks and recreation department. The ladies bathroom was clean(water pressure was low). I do think it can use an upgrade thoughđ¤đ¤ˇđ˝ââď¸. Great for...
Read moreThis park almost always pleases me with how nice it is. There is almost never trash all over the place, the equipment is clean and there is often police stationed at the park to keep a look out for anything that would make the park less than pleasant.
The only three things to complain about are the grassy areas can be extremely muddy, almost Swamp-like and extremely slippery if it had rained in the previous days. Also the main children's play area has a broken slide that is kind of a Hazzard, the only thing they had stopping kids from getting on it is a thin piece of wood. Last is the little children's splash pad is less than exciting. It doesn't spray much water and someone has to be holding each of the buttons in at all times to get any water. Without a few big kids working together you'd barely get to play in the water much less alone.
Other than that the beach area is lovely and so is the smaller section of the playground. I would highly recommend this place for...
