Went here last week, have been here many times before. As we were trying to leave, a woman with red hair between 45-55 and a aggressive tan dog showed up. Her dog was already trying to snap at our through the fence in the holding area. I thought she was going to leash her dog before she came in. Before we could leave, she let her dog in - who immediately attacked our dog. The dog had a death grip on our dog's skull and would not release. Luckily my boyfriend was able to get the dog off long enough for me run our dog out. She didn't help grab her dog at all, didn't leash it, just cursed at us for "touching" her dog and said, "it's a dog park." We stayed in the parking lot after, and watched her dog try to attack the other dogs in the park. Everyone in the park left quickly. And we even followed the woman out to her car which wasn't in the parking lot, it was hidden further down in another lot. We got her license and called the police. They ran her plates and said she lives in Granbury, so not sure if she had to drive out to this park because she's been banned from other parks. So be cautious if you see this woman, or really any uneducated dog owners with an aggressive dog. This park is notorious for attacks - and i'm not gonna sugar coat what happened for the sake of a park that already has a bad rep. This place is dangerous and I would highly recommend...
Read moreWe took our older dog and 7 month old there for the first time this week. This place is huge! We sat off in the corner area so our dogs could observe from a distance since they never went to a dog park before. We had a couple of visits from some friendly dogs that were roaming and having fun meeting and greeting. We kept ours on leashes, especially the young one since we want him to learn respect the right way and not be a wild child first time out. We were going to start walking around when a man with a pitbull came in along with a chihuahua (about 730pmish). No problem, right? Can't judge dogs by their breed alone. However, this one started 2 fights and nobody asked him to leash his dog or leave. I was not happy with this and it could of turned into a very dangerous situation. It wasn't play fighting either....it was grab the neck and shake until it breaks fighting. I really thought someone would of asked him to leave but no, the dog kept roaming. However, you don't let one spoiled apple ruin the bunch. Maybe a moderator volunteer might be needed? We will be going back, we just have to find the right time of day to do it. I have to say it was very nice, clean, plenty of "people" areas to sit and even a small wash station when you leave to clean your pet's feet. Two paws...
Read moreBeen to this dog park many times, but had an incident the last time I took my dogs there. A Pitbull completely targeted my dogs and started biting them. The owner was no where in sight. I had to intervene to try and get the dog off my own dog and ended up getting bit in the process along with my two dogs both having wounds. The owner of course did not take any ownership and left without saying any word as to whether or not her very aggressive dog was up to date on vaccines causing me to have to get a very painful Rabies series of shots - twelve in total. Very disappointed that there are dog owners who are so irresponsible. If you can't take ownership and keep aggressive dogs out of the dog park then don't take your dog there. Also keep all dogs up to date on vaccines not only for others but the dog themselves. Very...
