The parking situation at the location is concerning due to the practice of parking on the grass. This not only poses a danger to drivers but also creates potential hazards for the environment and local wildlife. The dry grass can become a fire hazard, particularly during dry and hot weather conditions, and the spilling of fluids from vehicles can be harmful to the ecosystem and wildlife.
Additionally, the absence of fences around fields where soccer is played raises safety concerns. People chasing soccer balls in unfenced areas can lead to accidents for both players and passersby. Installing proper fencing or barriers around these fields would be a proactive step to ensure the safety of park visitors.
The dog park also faces challenges with its parking situation. On days when the park is at capacity, the lack of available parking spaces can lead to visitors parking their cars and trucks on the grass, further exacerbating the fire hazard issue mentioned earlier. Investing in expanded parking areas or implementing a reservation system could help alleviate this problem and enhance the overall experience for dog park visitors.
Furthermore, the review mentions the embarrassing state of the restrooms and roads, which reflects poorly on the location. Proper maintenance and cleanliness of these facilities are crucial to leave a positive impression on visitors and ensure their comfort during their time at the park.
Another concern raised in the review is the apparent lack of investment that was promised. While the details of the promised investment are not specified, it is essential for the authorities to be transparent and accountable for commitments made to the community. Openly communicating plans, progress, and outcomes of any investment promises can help build trust and ensure that the location’s development and enhancement remain a priority.
Lastly, the reviewer brings up the issue of hidden playground equipment. Understanding the reason behind this decision is important. If there are safety or maintenance concerns related to the equipment, it should be clearly communicated to the public. Otherwise, ensuring that the playground equipment is accessible and visible to visitors is vital for their enjoyment and usage.
In conclusion, there are several significant issues that need to be addressed at the location. From the hazards of parking on grass to the need for better safety measures, improved facilities, increased transparency regarding promised investments, and making playground equipment accessible, taking action on these concerns will undoubtedly enhance the overall experience for visitors and positively impact the surrounding community. By investing in the necessary improvements and addressing these issues promptly, the location can become a safer, more enjoyable, and environmentally responsible place for everyone to...
Read moreTo be clear we love it here but I need someone to see this Over the last two weeks or so, someone is going into the park on the main trail and leaving stuffed animals in various places, posed upright, and sometimes hanging from trees. I stupidly didn't photograph several findings, which I'm now regretting as I try to explain but I will attach a few here. I saw a man I've seen there before sitting on one of the wooden benches, minutes after finding new plushes, with a brand new blue stuffed animal sitting beside him. I've seen this man before but he just gives a weird vibe, not necessarily concerning. That being said I know for a fact crimes have been committed on the property and as the incidents become more frequent, and the plushes placed farther down the trail each time, it's beginning to worry me a bit. Who do I even talk to about this? I have no evidence any crime has been committed, aside from littering, but it's starting to skeeve me out. We go across various times of day and not everyday, because of the heat, but we have found upwards to 15 stuffed animals at this point without succession since the first one. We don't touch them or move them, and they are always replaced with new ones in a new location but following the same path. Maybe I'm looking too far into it, but it's definitely weird. If anyone has a suggestion as to who to reach out to please let me know. A note, the plushes are always new with tags, and do not appear to have been used previously by anyone. We've only found two on the ground, yesterday, by the parking lot near a tree where they were most likely placed. The rest are in...
Read moreThis park has a awesome dog park. It has sections but it's so cool because when I have visited all the dogs are in same section! Getting along playing together. I've never experienced this before and neither had my 2 Pitts who had sum behavior issues b4 I adopted them. The park had about 10 owners each time I visited and they all quickly joined in and got my dogs adjusted and settled and b4 no time my 100lb+ Pitts was scampering along with the various dogs visiting!!!! I was speechless and frankly still am. The park don't specify therapeutic dog park but the people there sure made it feel that way. I have been many times now and its my favorite in all of DFW. Other than the dog facility there is walkways, trails and beautiful scenery. Large park well kept. It also has sporting events and practice too. The park has rumors and a black cloud over it due to rumors of "meet/hook up's" which I have seen signs of but never anything inappropriate at all. I urge everyone give it a try. It's sumwat of a hidden treasure your in the middle of the city yet when inside this park you certainly can't tell! Paradise in the midst of mayhem a little...
