I drove for 2 days to get here, spent half the day stuck in the traffic of a blizzard. I a couple minutes after closing.
I found a staff and explained that I am 2000 miles from home, and I would be happy to make a generous donation to just walk around for a couple minutes. I promised not to touch anything, and I explained that I am currently building several sacred geometry ceremonial, ritualistic event spaces, and have wanted to visit for a long time.
I was told that since it's past 5 o'clock they can't even allow me to sign a waiver to walk around and that I should go visit some other places.
The staff I met were of course two Caucasian feminist types.
Definitely not what I hoped for from a place that was designed and intended to inspire a revolution in ecological architecture.
I design and plant food forests and sacred ceremonial spaces and architecture. To turn me away 2000 miles from home without allowing me to even look at anything reflects and says a lot about the current management.
No honor for the ancient ways. Very disappointing
No doubt letting me walk around for 10 minutes would've severely endangered thier staff and residents....
Read moreNot worth it for me. We traveled from Prescott after reading information on the website. Upon arriving there was handicapped parking and a handicapped pathway to reach the building. Once arriving at the building, we had to go up 2 flights of stairs to get to the tour office. Also had to go down 2 flights of stairs in order to get to the cafe and gift shop which being disabled, was not possible. Another person told us that the cafe was closed except for water 😞 No elevator in order to reach anything. Very disappointed as the website indicated that they were ADA accessible. Needless to say that we drove there for nothing and didn’t see anything. Also the road, about 2 miles long, there was gravel, rocks and holes and a lot of dust from big rigs going in and out. Another note, no bathroom except the 1st floor which again is 2 flights downstairs. As a handicapped person, really disappointed we were not able to...
Read moreNot quite what I was expecting. As we arrived we wondered if we just pulled up to a landfill. Signage left you wondering if you could wander the area or if you needed a guide and if so where were they found.
You could however easily determine who the residents were by their lack of friendliness, stares and openly rude comments to each other about visitors. A very cult-like vibe and a rather negative energy almost immediately. Some of the scenery was nice though not unlike scenery found in many other far more welcoming areas in AZ.
The buildings are either unfinished or in a state of disrepair which was fine with me as that was what I was looking for. We noticed what appeared to be garbage in a pile underneath some type of artistic arch type display entirely destroying what would be an otherwise interesting view. I noticed a tile in a walkway that spoke volumes. Carved into it's surface read "I...
