Today I was walking and absolutely terrible lady stoped running with her dog to scream at me bc my dog get too excited when it comes to running so he screams and I have to make him sit just bc he’s bigger then her tiny Australian shepherd she screamed at me and had to harass me and my dog if she was so worried about her dog maybe keep running I’m tired of boulder in general I grew up here but to many rich white intolerant and entitled people now that think they own a public trail my dog is harmless just gets to excited so he’s learning how can he learn with treats and such if people don’t pass him on trails he is people friendly and has been dog friendly he just...
Read moreBeautiful canyon hike - I got dropped off further up the canyon (by the intersection with Four Mile Rd) which I would recommend. Further up the canyon there was a lot less foot traffic, so it was nice hiking. The trail is really well maintained. Smooth gravel and eventually a paved wide sidewalk. There are lots of bikers so keep an eye out if you have littles with you - bikers are moving fast.
You can easily climb down to the river and put your feet in. Closer to town there are swimming holes in the creek and lots of people go tubing in the summer. You will likely spot climbers as well. There are tons of huge cottonwoods along the trail. The creek is...
Read moreHusband, doggo and I enjoyed our walk along this trail this morning. The first parking lot (on either side of the road) was packed, but we were lucky enough to snag the last spot. The trail seems to be rather lengthy, we walked ~2 miles North--the trail was largely flat gravel, sometimes paved. Very accessible! Lots of bikers use this trail, we were definitely some of the only people walking it. We wished there was a bit more signage and indication along the trail itself, just to give an indication of where you're headed.
