We absolutely loved the view and hiking at artist point in Boulder Colorado. This park was very easy to get to buy a car, and we found the $6 donation for parking fee to be very reasonable to help the park rangers manage this site. Their Nature Center had very interesting maps and dioramas about the local animals to be found in this region of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The views were absolutely breathtaking. One of the greatest perks about this area is that they have very many picnic benches for people to bring their own food and sit and have a meal in the shade. I highly recommend artist point for anyone looking to get a beautiful...

5 star views. This vista is one among many jewels in the City of Boulder's Open Space and Mountain Parks system. From the Flagstaff Summit West trailhead it's short hike through sparse canopy to this rocky outcropping that offers a beautiful view up Boulder Canyon and on to the Indian Peaks mountain range. Nice spot to watch the sunset.

I should note that the hike is easy going in terms of length and elevation, but that some people may find the trail tricky to navigate as there are places where you have to find your way through...

Great little perch on top of Flagstaff mountain to get a great view of Boulder and the surrounding mountains. You really have 2 options to enjoy this great overlook. 1 - you can drive up all the way to the top and park within 20 yards of this spot or 2- park at Realization point, and hike up to the top of Flagstaff mountain then take the trail to Artist Point. Both are great options depending on your time or level...

Gorgeous view. Well kept park area. A comfortable amount of foot traffic the day I visited. Certainly a place I could come back and meditate or take ironic mountain photos for a dating profile 🏔️ * You're a smart cookie and you won't do this but.. Definitely don't get right off the plane and go here, I gave it a few days and altitude sickness was still squeezing at my lungs
