We absolutely loved the view and hiking at artist point in Boulder Colorado. This park was very easy to get to buy a car, and we found the $6 donation for parking fee to be very reasonable to help the park rangers manage this site. Their Nature Center had very interesting maps and dioramas about the local animals to be found in this region of the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. The views were absolutely breathtaking. One of the greatest perks about this area is that they have very many picnic benches for people to bring their own food and sit and have a meal in the shade. Read more5 star views. This vista is one among many jewels in the City of Boulder's Open Space and Mountain Parks system. From the Flagstaff Summit West trailhead it's short hike through sparse canopy to this rocky outcropping that offers a beautiful view up Boulder Canyon and on to the Indian Peaks mountain range. Nice spot to watch the sunset.
