Did the Canyon Rim Trail on July 4. What a great way to spend the morning! Get in early as parking is a little limited at the trailhead. EASY walk as it mostly goes along the top of the ridge. You don't have a view of the canyon the whole way, but there are definitely some stunning portions. We only saw 4 other hikers on the 1:45 loop. We do most of our hiking further up north in Colorado (Denver natives) so seeing the contrast in climate and flora down here was great. The vibe felt more desert, AZ than what we're used to. Read moreWhy pay $30 per person to walk across the bridge? Park at the trailhead and hike/walk to the beautiful views afforded by the trail. Don’t want to walk? Then drive to the view (clearly marked) and take a short walk to the view. The trail itself is beautiful and there are two toilets both at the trailhead and in the picnic areas on the way to the view.
