So close to Boulder and Arvada/Golden yet so remote. This area is worth the less than 30 minute drive from either area. The county road loses it pavement just before entering the town of Eldorado Springs and once in the park there is a minor improvement. Mind the huge potholes and ripples on the road. The entrance fee is $8 per car or $3 per walk-in person. The park is open Dawn to Dusk. In the winter that means you should be leaving by 430p. The area is famous for rock climbing and the Eldorado Springs pool that dates back to the early 20th century. Check the visitor center for the history of the...

This park was amazing!! I would definitely recommend hiking the rattlesnake trail. It has such amazing views and it's not too difficult. Though there are some parts that would require a break because of the incline. My favorite part was that you could go down by the river and sit on the rocks with the river flowing by. I would say you need to get there early because it fills up pretty quick. There's also a picnic area by the visitor center that lets you be by the river. If you want to cool off they also have a pool as you make your way into...

Absolutely love this hike. Connects up to the Walker ranch trail. Great views and fairly easy hike with some harder bits, has length. Dog friendly but must be on leash. Great views and there is a river part way through. There are some good bouldering places, but it would be difficult to carry the supplies to certain spots. Not a super high volume of foot traffic, and a fairly quiet hike. There is a picnic area along with multiple trail heads. I reccomend the last one at the top...

This place is an awesome place to come and hike or climb. Beware the entry thru the small town is brutal. Dirt road with a million pot holes, but once you enter the park, it's very beautiful here. There's a road all the way to the top that leads to the other side. There's parking spots throughout to stop and enjoy the scenery. Lots of people climbing the cliffs. There's a river and a small bridge not too far from the entrance. Dogs welcome, wearing good shoes is highly recommended.
