Absolutely treated unfairly and disgustingly by a female Slot Attendant Supervisor by the of Terrie all because of how I look and my appearance. While I visited Lone Butte Casino yesterday, I was playing in the "High Limit area." I had money in the slot I was playing at, and she approached me while I was playing. In that moment I was actually replying to one of my employees concerns that they messaged me about at work, it was my day off, but honestly as a business owner/operator you're never really off, you still have to accommodate at any moment and issues. Terrier came up to me in a VERY VERY RUDE demeanor, and told me. "IN ORDER TO BE IN HERE YOU HAVE TO BE ACTIVELY PLAYING! WE HAVE SIGNS POSTED ON THE WALLS!" I looked at her, finished my reply to my employee, and asked Terrie, "what makes you think I shouldn't be in here (High Limit Area)?" She looks at me, looks directly at my clothes and me, then completely judges me on my appearance and my racially profiled me. (I know the look, it's happened many times especially becuase I own my own business.) I about lost it, I asked for her name, which she reluctantly gave to me, I immediately told her to send over the Slot Floor Manager, her name is Jill. Before Jill was called, Terrier quickly called the Security on me who identified himself as the Head of Security named Allen (name maybe spelled wrong). I explicitly told him, i didn't care to talk to him and to called the Slot Floor Manager, and I wanted to file a Formal Complaint of Terrie. Allen tries to defer me from escalating and filing a Formal Complaint of Terrie, which i told him it was happening no matter what! After going back and forth with me for about 5-7 minutes he finally calls Jill over. Jill was nice, and handle the situation in a manner and ability I'm sure she only knew how too. I explained to her what had just happened, and I understood Gila River Casinos were owned by the local Gila River Indian Tribe, and I too am Native American. Jill repeats there are signs posted as "Active Players Only" in the "High Limit Area". Then I point out to her, if the signs explicitly states, "Active Player Only" then why are there people in the area allowed to watch someone else play? Jill, quickly replies, will they're together, and they came in together. They're family. Remember, the signs posted says, "Active Players Only". According to the interaction I had with Terrie, she said, "I wasn't allowed to just sit, and watch other people play, becuase the signs are posted, Active Players Only...." Jills response to me, ultimately reassured me in my previous statement as to being, Racially Profiled. Neither, Terrie, Jill, or Allen acknowledged the fact all three of them only enforce rules that apply only to certain people who fit the image narrative of who is allowed in the "High Limit Area". I WILL NEVER apologize for how I look, all three of them, need additional Manager & Supervisor Training. It's also not a fair stretch to even say, any and all employees under all three of these peoples leadership should all receive additional training. There's no knowing how these three individuals have been training their constituents and colleagues.
It's awful to know a person can still be treated this way, especially by people who are employed at a Tribal Casino.
I have many many friends and customers whom purchase from my business on a daily basis.
I'm appalled by the racial profiling acts of Terrie. Disappointed in Jill handling of the situation. Jill and Allen's lack of cultural insensitivity to the entire situation. Terrie, just because you wear and lanyard that's beaded doesn't make give you the right to racially profile and individual based on their appearance.
I truly hope GRIC, GRIC Gaming Board, GRIC Casino employees all take the time and understand this is not right, not at all. The actions diplayed by Terrie has no place in this World and definitely had no place at any of the Gila River Casino...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had the privilege of performing at this location (Lone Butte) with a local band. They have a fantastic setup in the central part of the casino that is ideal for live music and dancing.
I wish I could give this place excellent ratings, and it is very unlike me to lean towards negativity. However, I had a situation, and I felt compelled to share my experience.
As I mentioned, I had the privilege to be a part of live entertainment one Saturday evening. I came down from Northern AZ, which is a 3 hrs drive. After the music gig, I decided to stay and hang out with my aunt and uncle , who also traveled down and stook around to play the slots. I was actually having a wonderful time and laughing with my aunt when I excused myself to go use the restroom. After I excused myself, I saw that my very dear friend, who is in the military and stationed in NC, had asked me how the band gig turned out. As I was walking to the restroom and recording a voice message, I suddenly got confronted by an employee who accused me of recording him. He continued to explain to me that he was a federal employee, works for the tribe, and that me recording him was against the law, etc etc.
He was basically screaming at me in a very condescending way, asking why I was recording him and making fun of him. I finally was able to stop him and told him to relax, that I was merely messaging my dear friend that is stationed in Camp Lejeune, and that I wasn't recording him, I also told him that I could delete the message to my best friend that was asking me how the band gif went . I stopped him from his condescending hollering and asked him to relax, and he seemingly did, even shaking my hand, and I believed it was the end of rhat.
After I had used the restroom, I walked over to where my uncle was sitting, he had noticed that I seemed a little upset, and before I could explain to him what happened, the same "security" employee approach me, I actually thought he was going to apologize, but instead he started asking me why I was following him to which I had to reassure him that I wasn't following him and just came to sit by my uncle. He left, but shortly afterward, the casino manager came to talk to me to ask me what had happened . He was very friendly, and he seemed very understanding. However, after his reassurance, I still felt very uncomfortable inside the facility and overall was disappointed with the whole ordeal.
The casino itself is very clean, and everyone else has been very friendly and accommodating. However, being accused of things that never happened was super uncalled for and unnecessary. It's never fun being...
