11,400 feet-ish in elevation
Good stop on the way up the mountain. Excellent location to figure out how the altitude will affect you. There is plenty of parking. There are restrooms. There's a little restaurant that has a few options to eat. During the summer the outside picnic tables are a great place to eat with amazing views. There are big slabs of rock behind the station. This place has hot foods and drinks. They also have gifts, shirts, magnets, stickers, and so much more. A very cozy store and the employees were great! There is a bathroom here if you need to use it.
Parking: There are MANY parking spots here as this is the location for those driving back down to see how hot your brakes are.

If you're a tourist, this is one spot we would...
