Juan Bautista De Anza NHT - Oit Par Camp — Attraction in Four Corners States

I give this five stars for its historic significance and the efforts to preserve its history. I am familiar with the portion in the Green Valley/Sahuarita area. It runs 11 miles North starting at Elephant Head Trailhead. The trail can be accessed in many places. There are the developed trailheads (Elephant Head, Abrego, Llano Grande), but you can often get to the trail by following access roads along washes that drain into the Santa Cruz river. Be careful here. Is a beautiful spot on what was, in the 1700s, the northern edge of Spanish civilization. Problem today is, thieving dope fiends frequent this place. Where does the trail start? It seems this trailhead has been neglected by the county unfortunately. I would love to run the entirety of this section but there's no trail or path to run.
