I give this five stars for its historic significance and the efforts to preserve its history. I am familiar with the portion in the Green Valley/Sahuarita area. It runs 11 miles North starting at Elephant Head Trailhead. The trail can be accessed in many places. There are the developed trailheads (Elephant Head, Abrego, Llano Grande), but you can often get to the trail by following access roads along washes that drain into the Santa Cruz river.
