I rarely do reviews and I honestly hate that I'm giving this place a 2 star ,but our last visit there were multiple things that took away that warm cozy feeling I would get coming to the Marana Pumpkin Patch. First of all I'm not sure if they have volunteers from the high-school or they decided to have a bunch of kids working for them this year but almost every ride we went on wasn't being supervised safely. One of the swing rides all the kids working on it didn't check everyone who had got onto the ride and the ride had to be stopped because a little girl about maybe 6 wasn't even buckled in because they didn't check. Than when one of the kids realized this mistake he told them they needed to stop the ride they had just started maybe was going for about 10 secs and than the young girl working on the ride told everyone they needed to get off and if wanted to ride the ride again needed to go to the back of the line! So that was our first whats going on here experience. Than when I took my son over to the bouncing pillows the workers who again were young kids who are supposed to be watching everyone making sure everyone follows rules and doesn't get hurt they were too busy flirting and wrestling with each other to even do their job. Again what's going on here experience. The third thing that really disheartened me was when I took my son to do the pony rides the ponies didn't look very well and the one he was put on by again Young workers the ponies eyes were barely able to stay open she kept almost falling and they kept the ride going and didn't take her off the pony ride after they realized she wasn't doing the best they just said we will keep weight off of her so she was stuck like that and still having to work even though that poor pony looked absolutely miserable. I have been to the Marana Pumpkin Patch many times, done many pony rides with my little boy and all have been cherished moments but that just disheartened me so much from this family friendly place that it used to be. I really didn't want to leave this bad review at a place once had my heart but I do hope this is heard and changes are made so all families can have happy memories when they...
Read moreI am sad to say that this year will probably be our last year going to the Marana pumpkin patch. My daughter is 10 now and we have easily been going for at least 6 years. We loved going to the Marana pumpkin patch because of the photo ops, activities included in admission and it wasn’t jam packed with people. When we went a couple weeks ago, (we opted for a Thursday night after work and earlier in the month so not so close to Halloween) in hopes that it wouldn’t be so busy. We were VERY wrong. There were so many cars in the parking lot it reminded me of the Renaissance Festival. I have never seen so many cars. Then when you get to the line you pick one not knowing which is general admission to purchase tickets there or which line is online purchases. You would think there would be many signs down the lines but there isn’t a sign until you get close towards the front. When we saw this line my family ended up getting out of the online line and into the other line behind people that came after us because we didn’t want to be rude like other people were and just ‘cut’ in line. Well, know that it essentially doesn’t matter what line you go in because you go up to the window no matter how you purchase. Also the new location is so vast you are walking a lot so be prepared for that. Activities are far from the pumpkin barn. The lines to actually do activities or even the lines at concession or the bakery is not worth it. We waited over 45 minutes for our daughter to ride one swing ride. We did the cannons which was no line and was a nice change for the evening. We waited in line for kettle corn for a while and we are 2 people away from the ordering window and they yell that kettle corn is going to take 15 minutes so we had to wait for kettle corn after already waiting in line. Their sodas weren’t cold so we were given a cup of ice. The line to the train when we arrived was wrapped around the wall so we waited until nearly close to get on the train. We did 3 things in 2-3 hours we were there. They need to be open 7 days a week or cut off sales much sooner. Be prepared to wait a long time for...
Read moreI bought tickets online for the sunflower festival. Website was easy to navigate & the price was reasonable (about $18/person, 2 & under are free). We visited the patch with our 2 toddlers & our newborn on 10/7. Me & my husband were impressed with how everything was set up. There were a lot of areas for photo opportunities, big open area for kids to run around & not be crowded and it was clean which I appreciated the most. We went on a very rainy day (btw it’s a rain or shine type of event) we still got to enjoy ourselves. The ticket ppl kept reminding us that there were no refunds, which we didn’t mind b/c we had already made the drive & we’re determined to make do. Most of the attractions had shade so that helped a lot and we managed to not get soaked. There were workers helping/looking out for the kids at every station which I also appreciated. My son enjoyed the mini diggers the most. My daughter loved the farm animals area. It was clean & animals were enclosed, there was an area to wash your hands after petting the animals. We got to ride the mini train that went around the farm which we all enjoyed. My toddlers got to play on the playground which looked brand new/well maintained and their jumping pillows. It was nice to have areas where the kids could let their energy out and also chill out. I liked that we got to take pictures on the sunflower field and their pumpkin patch area had shade so we got to take pictures there while we waited for the rain to die down. I saw ppl cutting their own sunflowers to buy to make their own bouquet, which was a nice option. They had a bakery shop, gift shop and concession area to buy an actual meal & not just snacks. We grabbed a bite to eat to end our trip so our hangry toddlers weren’t cranky on the drive home. There were so many things to do. There were rides & the big slide that we didn’t even get to on our trip. We had such a great experience and will probably go to this pumpkin patch again. We’ve been to other pumpkin patches & this was the first one we that we thoroughly enjoyed...
