Beautiful hike! It's less than a mile and a half up to the top but it was pretty rough for me (out of shape and coming from sea level to this elevation). Take that as you will! Tips: -Bring a LOT of water, especially over summer -Don't get separated! It's easy to diverge from the trail. Some people in our group got lost and it took awhile to find them. -Wear hiking boots or other shoes with good tread. It's really slippery and steep and you'll have to scramble on some rocks. -I wouldn't recommend bringing your dog - there were a lot of people with unleashed dogs on the trail. Enjoy!

Challenging but amazing hike with beautiful views! We got to see a double rainbow and the prettiest sunset. It is very very dusty so don’t wear your favorite hiking shoes or sneakers. It is also very steep and rocky so judge your abilities. We got there in the evening and on our way down it started raining pretty bad so would recommend getting this done earlier maybe for a sunset. Didn’t see any wildlife but seems like a perfect spot for ML’s so be cautious. Dog friendly!

Excellent hike and easy to find the trail with stunning views of Mount Sopris across The Valley. Takes 20 minutes to get up to Mushroom Rock, fitness and altitude-acclamation dependent.

In the summer you only need good trainers/runners for this walk, although if it has resolved consider shoes with decent tread. Micro-spikes come in very handy if walking in winter.

You can walk beyond Mushroom Rock where the ground is comparably level. Good trails enable longer hikes.

Remember it’s a biking trail area also so please be aware of...
