I had several pieces of jewelry that are not my style that I inherited from my mother. I took them, a family heirloom diamond, and an idea to Weston. He took my idea and turned my old jewelry into a generational-ring that I love with all my heart. I went from never wearing my wedding set, to literally never taking my ring off. Weston took my idea and designed me the perfect ring. Not only does it have all the stones for my mother and children, but also Mt. Sopris because my husband and I grew up in Carbondale and it reminds us both of home. Weston sent me several design ideas and was incredibly easy to work with. It was the best choice to use Scott Markham Designs because of how personal they are as well as their attention to detail. They also took a pair of earrings from my mother and turned them into 4 pairs of earrings for me and my daughters. They love them and call them their “Grandma Earrings.” My mother died in 2007, and my children are always sad they didn’t know her. We had a great experience working with Weston and his wife to design a new engagement ring using a family diamond that was passed down to us. During the initial consult, Weston wanted to get to know us and learn about our relationship and then he offered suggestions for what was possible and what would come out nicely based on his many years of experience. After creating a CAD model of the custom setting which involved a simple and durable 4 prong design that incorporated the Maroon Bells, Weston had it 3D printed so we could see it in person. I can't recommend the 3D printing step highly enough as it gave us the confidence that the final ring was going to come out great. My partner loves the ring and I feel like we both got to learn a lot in the process. I'm looking forward to working with Weston again in the future....

The task of replicating a design is challenging, but Weston rose to the task and crafted an incredible piece. The time taken to create the render and discuss details to separate the new ring from the original ring was priceless. As a surprise ring for my wife, once she tried it on, some additional adjustments were needed, and both Belle and Weston again took the time to make it right.
