Great little place for a hike and/ or a nice cool dip in the water. Trek is not too difficult. There are a few trails to choose from. There are a few areas that may require a little minuevering down single file or sliding down but mostly pretty easy going if your up for it. There is one trail that goes straight back once you cross the creek that's the easiest.

The creek water is pretty cool, even cold early or late in the year. It doesn't move very quickly so pretty fun for the kids if you can find a little pool of water between the rocks. It can be a little difficult to find a complete rock "bridge" to cross without getting wet but not impossible for those willing to try however the water's not that deep if you'd rather just take your shoes off & wade across, most areas come to knee high. See...

Awesome canyon hike. 13 creek crossings- there are rocks and logs across most so you can manage to stay dry if you like, or wear shoes /sandals to get wet. Hiking poles really help if you’re trying to rock hop and stay dry. Trail is billed at 3.3 miles each way, but we somehow clocked closer to 4 miles each direction with a few little steps extra here and there to grab some photos. About 500 feet total elevation gained over those almost 8 miles, so not a...

Oak Creek West Fork hiking trail #108 winds through a Red Rock canyon along the west fork of Oak Creek. It is shady and cool in hot weather. It is an 'out-and-back' hike so keep in mind that you will have to turn around at some point and hike back the way you came. There are several water crossings, so bring water shoes or a trekking pole to help...

Lots of stream crossings on the trail. Stream was generally frozen and the earlier crossings had good rocks and logs to walk on; others further in had thick ice we walked on. Hiking poles were very helpful.
