Stayed here for two nights on site A07, from Tuesday to Thursday. $26 per night - we stayed at Zion, Bryce and the Grand Canyon, which all cost us less than that. We were there with a 25 feet RV and found it pretty easy to get into our spot - however, other spots definitely looked trickier to get into, especially because of all the big trash-cans (is it really necessary to place 5 huge bins directly next to each other?) and stones on the side of the road.

Staff is VERY kind and helpful and made us feel more than welcome.

The location is good, you can reach Sedona within 30 minutes by car. There’s no store or anything in walking distance, though, and the store barely has anything to offer - so definitely buy some snacks and drinks before heading here.

The campground itself is located in a very quiet area. However, our neighbours weren’t so quiet. A horribly loud generator was turned on until the very last minute they’re allowed to stay on. Turning on their car at like 6am because it’s a little bit colder.. How on earth are you not able to handle some lower temperatures in the morning and feel the need to heat up your car for like 30 minutes before driving off? - screw the environment, I guess?

The restrooms are nothing more than pit-toilets, with no sink to wash your hands. However, they were fairly clean during our stay.

The praise that the showers are getting from other reviewers is making me wonder - is there some other shower-facility that I don’t know about?! Seriously though.. $6 for an 8 minute shower, when most campgrounds (even the privately owned ones) charge no more than $3, is ridiculous. You can’t even choose the temperature; it’s either so hot that it almost burns you, or it’s way too cold. The old wooden-doors don‘t close properly and some of the locks are barely working. The shower’s weren’t that clean also, with hair in the drain and on the shower curtain - so why are you charging $6?

All in all, it’s a pretty solid campground with very helpful staff. However, for $26 a night I was expecting just a little bit more, like proper toilets, cleaner shower facilities and a bigger selection at the store. If I ever get the chance to come back to Sedona, I‘ll be...

We had a total of 11 people, 4 adults and 7 children ranging from the ages of 14 to 4, 2 families and out to have a great camping experience for 3 night and 2 days, 2 campground sites and $108.00. Ended up at Cave Springs campgrounds on a Thursday and by that Thursday night it was downhill with issues at this sight..... A campground guest came to our site and complained for us using a pump to blow up a mattress for our children asking us if "we were going to run that all night long", the very next morning we had a campground HOST come to our location and reprimand us for disturbing the other guest. Friday we went to go get more firewood for our camping experience and went to get our own instead of paying $7 a bundle, when we arrived back at the campground the HOST stopped up on the way to our site and told us that we weren't allowed to have firewood longer than 2 ft and that we needed to go outside the campground and chop it down before coming back in. Come Saturday Morning we were confronted with a Forrest ranger, He came up to our site YELLING at us adults telling us that he needed ID's from us and 2 responsible adults from both campsite and to STEP to his truck to talk to us.... MIND you, he YELLED at us acting completely rude and uncalled for in front of all of our children, scaring them and making them completely uncomfortable, Then proceeded to tell us that we are disturbing the guest, telling us that after 10 pm we are NOT ALLOWED TO LAUGH, TALK, NOTHING and be COMPLETELY SILENT AFTER 10pm, He YELLED some more telling us that if he had to come to our site one more time he would give us all tickets and kick us off the campsite, he was asked 3 times before answering "what other rules we needed to be aware of"? We are non drinkers and we just taking our children together on a camping trip and have lots of fun with the children- THIS site completely RUINED that experience for us as far as site wise is concerned. We still had a wonderful time together laughing and cooking and playing games and having fun, HOWEVER after 10 PM, we were scared to sneeze to loud in fear of being kicked out!! We will NEVER come back to this campground again NOR recommend...

Incredibly frustrated by my experience with this campground and booking online through recreation.gov. ||I had reached out to notify the campground we would be late arriving and was assured by check in staff that that would be ok. Upon arriving our site had been sold. We were offered a different one but felt it was less private and not equivalent. We were also informed after arrival that showers were not working. We were not notified or contacted for any of the above prior to arrival, therefore not given a chance to cancel per their protocols. |We ultimately decided to take our money elsewhere and were assured by the check in desk that they would be happy to give us a refund however since we booked through recreation.gov we had to go through them. We stood in the campground office with rec.gov and the campground check in staff on the phone talking to each other, however we were ultimately told by rec.gov that the official approval of refund had to come from the “facility manager” of the campground. The check in staff did not know who this was but assured us they would speak to whoever was needed to get our refund. We did not stay, and filled out a refund request through rec.gov and were ultimately still denied our refund. |I have tried to reach back out to the campground with the provided contact info to see who else to talk to but have had no luck. |It is incredibly frustrating to deal with check in staff saying one thing and honoring a refund but having no ability to do so, and instead after following the booking protocol were denied. |Very poor communication and bad business in my opinion. |I also feel bad for the check in staff since they have no information or resources to reach out to their “facility manager” to help this process go smoothly. |They definitely did try to help us get our refund in any way possible but were just as in the dark with the rec.gov online booking/facility manager info as we were. I wish their online contract with rec.gov and online booking didn’t bring their whole campground name down and that the staff was communicated with regarding all of this before reassuring clients they would be given a refund...

Absolutely my favorite campground of all time. We have stayed here a few times before, and this time I wanted to write out a review with some information for other visitors. First off, this site beats nearby Pine Flat and Manzanita campgrounds hands down. The seclusion, the scenery, the friendliness of all the camp hosts and workers... phenomenal. There is a little shop up front that seeps necessities such as ice, firewood, and ice cream. The prices are certainly a little higher than what you will find at the grocery store, but that should be expected for the convenience of not having to go far. In my opinion the prices are actually very reasonable, given how much things have gone up elsewhere lately. Showers are on site, 8 bucks each, and they last plenty long with warm water. There is a handicap accessible ramp and shower as well. We just finished up a 4-day stay, and it all just reminds me of how much I love this campground. I have seen some negative mentions in the reviews, but by some of the things they are saying, I would bet that they might just be the kind of "problem" campers that need a little extra supervision. We have never had any complaints. Love it, all around.

Arrived Wednesday morning through the weekend and only 5 sites were available due to reservations. So reports of getting there early was no joke. The Campground Full sign was posted Wednesday afternoon due to reservations. Beautiful campground! 82 sites at 5600 feet with 6 loops (A,B,C,D,E and F) Loops C and E are farthest from the road noise. The showers open 7a-6p cost $4 for an 8 minute shower token. The office/store sells sundries, drinks, ice, wood and accepts credit cards. Follow the trail by site F10 and go along the ledge to the swimming hole! While there, a flash flood washed over the bridge. No one in or out until the bridge was cleared a few hours later. The staff was on top of the situation the entire time and responsive to all matters of a large campground. This is one of the best campgrounds I have been to of the 165+ over the last 4 years. Definitely returning.
