Always sad to see an outdoor area where careless people have littered. Aside from that, its a neat little area. Multiple short trails lead you from the parking lot down into winding wooded areas around sprawling tree trunks and under low canopies of brush and branches. Has kind-of a secret garden like feel to it in my opinion. Be mindful of flash flooding from the mountain side in this area!! If you are open minded or like-minded you may find interest in exploring some artwork in an exceptionally clean and litter free riverbank area under the bridge. Have...

The Palisade Rim Trail is a great, little hike that offers beautiful views of the orchards and sunsets. The trailhead itself doesn't have great parking (mostly just roadside) and has no amenities (maps, benches, rest areas, etc). I also advise having a map on your phone or at least reviewing a trail map before heading out so you know if you want to do the lower or upper loops and how far you'll want to go. You also want to have some assurance that you're starting up the right trail as the Palisade Plunge Trail also drops in...

Went on a group hike at 0730 before the sun got too hot in mid August...I was from sea level and hiking at altitude made me Slightly slower but nit by much , heck I'm 65 yr!

Saw so cool petroglyphs at about 1/2 way point...a few spots needed some scrambling ,not bad. Hiking pole at least 1 helpful on way down .stood aside for mountain bikers on same trail. Saw quite a few....

Come early as parking is along the 2 lane highway and there are posted No Parking, though cars were on that side...

Great trail that takes you up in elevation to get some nice views of the area. Would recommend going before it gets too late in the day because there isn't a lot of shade spots. Terrain can be a bit rugged at times but is fun and enjoyable. Plenty of parking near the trail head with signs pointing you on where to go. Would recommend if you're looking for some outdoor fun and have a few hours to enjoy it.
