Definitely a highlight of any trip to Bryce and red rock country. Great place to take some pictures but at the pull out there is a plaque discussing Robert Leroy Parker aka Butch Cassidy who I was told I'm related to. Folks around here thought of him as an outlaw but a generous one at that. One such story is referenced on the plaque where the debt collector was coming to a gentleman's farm to either get a payment or they would take his farm back. Butch gave the farmer the money to pay off the farm and rode off with some members of the Wild Bunch. The debt collector was shocked when the farmer paid him the remainder of what was owed on the property, but even more shocked when he was robbed just down the trail by some wild looking masked bandits.
