Have seen shows & worked events. I wanted to add some tips for event attendees, hikers, visitors. Upper south & upper north parking fill up relatively quickly. The south lots generally exit to Morrison/470/285 while north lots exit to I-70/Denver. If you're exiting from south lot 1, enter lot 2 at the bottom & find your way up lot 2 to exit to I-70. If you're early enough, but the upper lots are closed off, they may be counting spots to call for more cars in a bit.
If you want to see the amphitheatre in the warm months, go in the morning. Evenings are closed for events. (And closed early mornings of Red rocks Yoga events) If you want to hike "red rocks" trails, go to the trading post or use entrance 3 from Morrison, in other words the SOUTH side. If you want to see vista trails, go on the higher NORTH side. There's a trail near the upper north lot, the intersection of Alameda (road 1) & Trail road, and you can follow steps and foot trails just south of the box office all the way to the amphitheatre. You can park at the base of trading post trail (intersection of Red rocks Park road & road 3/entrance 3) to avoid concert traffic when hiking that trail. Wildlife viewing is best near...

Β Β Β Read moreDian Ross's concert started about an hour late with an opening act by her daughter, Rhonda Ross, who sang for about 1/2 hour. Diana didn't start her show until 9:00 p.m. They had intense bright lights shining onto the audience that was really annoying. As bright as automobile bright lights. Yes, you could see everyone in the crowd quite well but difficult to look down on the stage with these intense bright lights in our face. I've never experienced anything like these lights at any concert. I really love Diana Ross and her singing with her great backup band and singers. It would have been so much better without the long opening act, someone I'd never heard of before. We came just to hear Diana. My God, she's 75 and going strong, same great voice and antics! That part...
