I arrived to the marina this last Sunday to pick up the Pontoon boat we rented. From the beginning we were treated with full respect by everyone there. Picked up the boat and we headed out to the water. We also had 2 jetskis with us. Not even 10 minutes into our day on the lake, we had a mishap on one of the jetskis. Went back to the marina to let them know we had a mishap and they helped us out without any hesitation. I don't remember any ones names except for Heath which was the gentleman that helped my son out with some first aid that he needed which I am also grateful for him letting me know that my son needs to go to see a doctor. We unfortunately had to return the boat early due to having my son needing to go to the emergency room and the folks at the marina were just amazing with how they treated us. The manager of the marina and his wife who also works there were just amazing. Everyone I came in contact with at the marina including the young lady that was in the building above and the 4 others that were in the office were just super nice and easy to deal with. We went for half a day. We were told to be back “by 3:30 at the latest”. We had departed at 9:40am. We were actually back in the marina area by around 2:30, but since we had more time (or so we were mislead) we putted around for a bit.
We got in at 3:30 on the dot. Upon checking out we were told that we were being charged for a whole day, because we were late. Apparently we should have been back at 2:40. There were at least 8 empty pontoons there, with no patrons waiting to take them out. We were told “it’s only an extra $90.” Only!
What SHOULD have happened is that the man behind the counter should have acknowledged the misunderstanding, and said that the next time we’ll know that 1/2 day is five hours. There was clearly a miscommunication when he had mentioned 3:30.
Customer service means a big difference in the taste left in our mouth, and stories we tell our friends, and a three star rating vs a five. With a different attitude, this review would have...
   Read moreThey had employees quit the night before probably because of the bad work environment with the co workers there because everyone was very rude and had no organization would help someone else before the finished when another person took us almost two hours to leave to dock and then we were told we had 8 hours from when we left the dock at 930 when I was the first person in line at the shop at 745 when they opened at 8 then when we’re coming back at 430 to be back at 5 they charged us a late fee because they wanted us back at 4. The boat when so slow you couldn’t tow the inner tube I rented so wasted money there and so the whole boat rental experience coming from somebody who grew up on boats will never do it again thru this company and I would tell anyone thinking don’t it’s not worth it and the people are very rude and can’t take responsibility for there badly run business and can’t keep employees probably because the management is bad and it’s trickle down affect no body...
