UPDATE 06/2021. When visited this place today I hoped for a peace and some time to relax and rest! Unfortunately today I was unpleasantly suprised! This place is invaded by the four-wheelers! It is not desirable any more nor it is enyojable. All you’ll get is a lot of dust all over the lake, dust spreading all over your stuff. Horrible! ! It is TRULY a shame what this place became. All you can hear is roars and all you can see and breathe is a dust! I feel so disapointed they ruined this nature gem...:( So sad. My family couldn’t stay at peace and enjoy the nature because the dust was unbearable. We couldn’t breathe! So sad! So sad! This lake is accesible by the car, but 10 miles is paved road. Great escape, and touch with nature. Super for fishing, hiking, kayaking. No entrance fee. No public restroom. Lake is cold...
Read moreCame up here fishing and to hike 2 sundays ago. The road up is a dirt road and very narrow at some parts. Beautiful area to go camping though. The fishing was really good, in fact it was the only spot on the fishing report that was rated excellent fishing. The fish are nothing to Hoot and holler about. Their Planters and by the end of August to Mid September. They drain most of the reservoir and the rest of the fish die-off and they replant fish at the end of May to beginning of June. So the rainbow never really have a chance to grow and get big. But it's still a fun place to come and fish. Beautiful area to come and Hike as well and spend a good Sunday. You can camp but you have to be a half a mile away from the reservoir. If you have a Jeep, this is a Jeepers heaven. There's plenty of...
Read moreWent here for the chance to catch arctic grayling, but ended up catching rainbows. A lot less busy than Tibble Fork Reservoir, but it is a bit of an adventure to get up to this spot. I drove up the dirt road in my '17 Mazda3 hatchback with a 6spd and it did just fine going pretty slow. The views are absolutely amazing, but the road is rough for smaller vehicles, but not impossible. Definitely gonna go back, especially when the reservoir below is typically packed.
Don't know what that review of a bathroom is, but I didn't see one while I was up at this reservoir. Tibble Fork Reservoir below this has them and they are generally full because...
