This is a huge destination for dog owners so don't be surprised if the whole gang is out their jumping and playing in the water. The road is so incredibly bad to drive on, my sons under 7 were all terrified of the 3 mile drive on the roughest road we have ever driven. With the bad road, and a cliff drop off, and the lake drained down to practically nothing, I will never recommend this location. Not worth it. Great parking lot, only it is too small for the amount of people that head here. There is just too much great options here for the small lot. You have Silver Lake Flat Reservoir at the bottom that has good fishing and kayaking and is beautiful to walk around.
