South Window Arch — Attraction in Four Corners States

How many sandstone arches do you see here? Exploring the turnoff just past Balanced Rock, I found several places where multiple arches are visible. For this photograph I climbed through South Window Arch, across a gully, then climbed up another sandstone wall to a niche where I could see Turret Arch through the window. The windows are a must see on any Arches visit! Not only are they visual impressive and easily spotted from as far away as court house, but the sheer magnitude of the canyon wall is enough to leave anyone breathless!

The south window arch you can see from the road as you drive in. It seems as if this arch gets the least attention compared to its northern brother. Probably as you can climb under it like you can in the north arch.
