This is a very popular place for night photography and the trails were busy on this night of the full moon in November.

The fact that a lot of people realize that this is an epic spot for night photography could be seen as a disadvantage but what I love is plenty of room so the place can handle a crowd a little better than smaller arches.

Other advantages include:

-The hike is short and trail well marked and multiple rare formations and multiple arches visible right away, so getting there in pitch dark is no problem.

-Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year!

Even though you are in the middle of a desert at night, which can feel un-nerving to city folk, there are plenty of fellow explorers nearby so it felt safe in pitch black with my twelve year old.

-The arch openings are massive so you can capture plenty of night sky, there is plenty of space even if there are lots of photographers already shooting.

-Lots of stable, hard rock to set a tripod on for long exposures, and more than likely (if you go on the night of full moon) plenty of other photographers nearby doing the same if you need to...

North Window Arch is situated NE of Turret Arch and is located in 'The Windows' section of the park. This section is located 12 miles from the park entrance. You take first right after Balanced Rock. You will follow this road 2.7 miles to its end at a circle for the Windows Trail. There is a large parking lot here.

Windows Trail is a 1.2 mi loop that allows you to see North and South Window and Turret Arch. The trail is good for most skill levels. It is heavily trafficked during peak times

Take the left fork in the loop of you wish to head to North Window first. There is some climbing/incline required to climb up and under/through the arch. Great views from North Window looking back at Turret Arch. Beautiful place to visit at sunset when the rocks glow a...

This is also one of the most popular trail after Delicate because you can 4 arches in this area- North, South, Torrent and Double. The hike isn't too long and easy to hike with no elevation gain (meaning no hiking up). Pathways are clear and no way to get lost.

Some of the arches you can walk under and marvel them in a new perspective and some with landscapes right through to look out at. One. you just look at from afar, but still close enough.

Although the area has a parking lot, parking still limited at...
