If you don't have the time or stamina to take the trail directly up to delicate Arch, you can get a spectacular view of the arch and a distance taking this short hike to a viewpoint. Be aware that it is far enough away that although you can see it clearly, unless you have a zoom lens, you won't get very good pictures of the arch itself. Still, it's amazing to see the arch in the context of the greater landscape. The hike to the viewpoint is relatively short. It should take an average person walking about 15 minutes to get there. Thinking about people that aren't very active, this trail does take a little bit of exertion, but it isn't too much of a challenge for most people young or old. Although it is a short hike, there is some elevation change and it does require walking up some steps and short slopes. For those who are couch warriors and netflix-n-chill types, make sure you bring a lunch and 5 gallons of water because for you, itll be on the scale of death. They dont airlift people out. Read moreThis a nice small hike to view the delicate arch from distance. Reaching to arch is much longer hike which starts from Wolfe ranch viewpoint. This hike was easy and our 2.5 year old daughter also did it. There are some rocks/steps climbing but not difficult. Arch looks small from this point as it's far away.
