Upper Inspiration Point — Attraction in Four Corners States

Staying at the lodge means it's very easy to drive here for a sunrise viewing. Just know that whatever time sunrise is supposed to be is based on when the sun breaks over the (non-visible) horizon. There's a mountain in your way 😑

For example, at check-in, I was given a sunrise time of 6:36. Got to Upper Inspiration Point with plenty of time to gasp for breath at the helpfully placed bench after the steep hike from the parking lot.

We took the rim trail from Sunset point to Bryce Point, but made a point to stop at Inspiration Point because the views are phenomenal! The hike from Sunset isn't terribly long, but the elevation gain can get steep in some areas. I highly recommend making the trek up to this point, and if possible, keep trekking to Bryce Point!
