I love the D&R Canal because you can ride ur bike in mostly shaded areas during 92 degree weather and ride more than 15 miles one way before turning back to my original destination. The route is beautiful with trees, turtles and other greenery on either side of you along with the beauty of the canal water with people Canoeing and kayaking.
