We aren't from the area so we didn't know what to expect. We wanted to take the dog for a walk, and we found a terrific 3 mile hike around the pond.

The path was well marked, and pretty easy. There was some mild elevation change, but no stairs, and no steep hills.

The nature center itself was immaculate. The building is designed to minimize impact to nature by using compost toilets, funneling rainwater to plants, and other thoughtful improvements.

My only complaint is that I get charged double for admission because I live out of state. That really isn't fair... I'm vacationing in Delaware and spending my money there, I shouldn't...

This place is really nice, especially during the warm months. The campground has electric and water hookups. They also have a dedicated spot for tents and cabins as well. Every other loop in the camper/rv area have a bath house and vending machines. The building at the gate area also doubles as a small store as well. They have volleyball, baseball, indoor eating area, bike/walk trails and a water park. Like I said plenty to do, especially during the warm months with their water park. The camp spots for the campers/rvs also come equipped with a picnic table and a fire pit. Overall, I really like...

Very pretty nature preserve and pond. I think there is a river connected but I've only been there once so far and didn't have time to explore much in my kayak. There is a nice ramp intended for kayak launching, but I would definitely recommend a cart to get your kayak down there as it is a decent walk from the parking lot. There were several fishermen but it was very quiet and serene. There's also a water park with slides that we...

Very family-friendly. Plenty of play areas for kids. Screened-in gazebos. Has a water park. Has a nature reserve. Has cross country trail recreational trail has boat rentals. Has a place where you can launch your own boat or canoe and even has a live bait machine so you can buy bait 24 hours.

Always a great place for walk or a quick fishing or kayak trip - maybe a game of disc golf. Lots of choices here. The pondside trail is our family favorite for a hike with the hounds. And the kids never tire of the nature center - small but nice with friendly, informative staff.
