We were a little concerned going to a new RV park, especially with the expected cold weather. Those concerns were quickly put to rest. The park has a great staff that provided fantastic customer service. It has easy access, nice power towers with water and sewage all in one area and individual trash cans. Restrooms/showers were clean and we'll maintained. The heater was extra special touch. We were able to join in on the Kids Fishing Day event that they had. There are a couple of small concerns. Some of the "back in" locations are like a pull through slot, but 2 RV's are parked there. The back end of your rig will butt up against another rig. We weren't fans, but quickly got over it and didn't give it a second thought. The park is also next to a small plane airfield. I thought this might be bothersome, but it actually became enjoyable to see the various planes taking off and landing. The location is far enough away from main street to feel Hill Country and close enough to get there in 10 minutes. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. I recommend Cabernet Grill that is just outside the park. Overall it experience was fantastic and we will definitely be back. Next time it will be during...
Read moreThis park is very nice! It has toasty warm bathrooms that are so very nice when you are camping in the winter with overnight temperatures down in the 30's!
This place offers a lot of commodities. Both RV/camper spaces as well as tent camping sites. They have a swimming pool, play ground, and hiking trail with bird viewing station.
On one side of the park there is a golf course, to the other side there is the Municipal Airport. The Scouts loved to watch the planes taking off and landing!
Although most of the hiking trail was closed off due to recent flooding, we were still able to walk along the river and enjoy nature and bird watching. They have a small bird viewing station just off the parking lot that is easily accessible.
We were also able to attend a presentation on Owls by an Owl expert (no owls at presentation). It was very...

Small garden with native flowers and butterfly garden tended by volunteers.
Bathrooms are individual and large clean showers.
Not far from downtown. We took an Uber to downtown. So we could enjoy wine and beer.
There is a municipal airport adjacent and you will see and hear the planes. Mostly small craft and fun to watch. Don't recall hearing them after settling in for the night. We didn't find them a nuisance.
River for fishing. This is a municipal park so there's ball fields and a large swimming pool. ...
