A hidden gem. You need to stop here. Good parking. Was able to get my motorhome in there. A fascinating museum packed with local artifacts. This was an eye opening look into the past. I saw artifacts I've never seen displayed anywhere else. I took a ton of pictures. The day I visited Dixon Spendlove gave a interpretive tour of the museum. Amazingly he is the guy who found and owns most of the items in the museum. Modest gift shop with good prices that had several nice things and my favorite item a t-shirt. It was free but I highly recommend leaving a donation. This is an all volunteer operation.

If you're in the area, you really need to take the time to take a look! Very impressive collection of Indian artifacts and the gentleman who owns the Museum collected a lot of the items himself. Not a question we asked he couldn't answer( he will give you a 1/2 hour tour if you want and tell you what everything is and where it came from). Very Friendly. I didn't take pictures inside, but so many items to see!

A MUST see! A small but amazing Anasazi native american privately run operation, and if you are lucky you can get a private tour by Dixon, the person who is responsible for this gem. A great insight into the people before us, the very creative and advanced culture that inhabited much of the four corners area. Thank you Dixon and the others who created this and keep it going. Would you like to see an extensive personal collection of Native American artifacts presented by the highly passionate and knowledgable man who found them? If so, you need to stop at the Red Pueblo Museum.

Dixon Spendlove has been discovering and preserving these artifacts since he was 8 years old. When we visited his museum, he gave us a fascinating tour and then spent nearly an hour answering our questions about his collection. He told us exciting stories about making his finds, and many details about the practical use of the items, and the day to day lives of the Native Americans. He exudes passion and it is contagious.

While the museum and the tour is free, we made some donations and made purchases in the gift shop to...

Dixon gave us a personally guided tour of the museum and I learned more about Anasazi artifacts in an hour than I’ve learned from numerous books. At first glance, many might overlook the unique and exquisite pieces they have on display, but with a guided tour you will learn what everything is and how the tools were used, as well as dates the tools originate from and locations where the artifacts where found . This is absolutely one of the best small museums I’ve ever visited. It’s also a private museum that doesn’t charge an entree fee. They just ask for donations. Please be generous and receptive to an extraordinary opportunity. If you’re into Native American history and culture, this...

The Red Pueblo Museum is a fascinating place to visit, filled with so many unique and interesting artifacts from the local area. Each piece tells a story of the region’s history and culture, and it’s clear that a lot of care has gone into preserving and displaying them. The highlight of the visit was definitely the guided tour—the guide did an outstanding job bringing the artifacts to life with detailed explanations and engaging stories. It wasn’t just educational, it was truly enjoyable. Highly recommend this museum to anyone looking to explore the area’s past in an informative and...
