Inspiration Park — Attraction in Fresno

I adore this park! The only park in the cental valley that is not only completely handicap accessible, but designed specifically for children with different special needs. Even has a sensory stimulus area. Basketball courts, playgrounds, a splash park, sound garden, grassy areas, a large hill with an observation area on top & more. They even have a community center too. Update: While the park is still wonderful, on the weekends & afterschool it does get very busy. If you're bringing a special needs child (especially one with sensory sensitives), bring take them during the school hours, or early in the morning when the park is empty. It's been getting very busy on in the weekends during the late afternoons & I've had issues with a few teens & unsupervised kids causing problems. (Blasting vulgar music, climbing on the roof, leaving trash & bullying behaviour. I caught a group of teens opening up all of our drinks & pouring them on ground while laughing while I was playing with my son a short distance away.) It's so disheartening that people are bringing down this park. The park itself is still wonderful, but each time we've gone over the past year, people have brought down our experience. This is not an issue only at Inspiration, but sadly, an ongoing problem in most if not all Fresno parks. Because of this, I'm changing my rating from...

This is such an amazing park!! I absolutely love all the creative landscape & thoughtfull layout of the park! It is huge & it is extremely obvious that the city put in a great deal of an investment to make it happen. However. People. Are. Seriously. Ignorant. Almost every time I have taken my kids there are people either getting high or dealing! Like seriously people?! This. Is. A. Park. Why do you do that?! Like get high at home or better yet don't!! I don't understand the mindset. I don't want to smell your dope & I sure as heck don't want my kids or other kids smelling it either!! Other than the pot heads... The park...

The best park on this side of town. lots of activities for kids and family to spend some time together. better get here early on weekends as usually if the weather is good most of the spots to hold parties get taken early.

well maintained park.

the only draw back is that on multiple occasions there have been unsupervised young kids and there has been fights. late at night towards park closure. Cops where called and as you know they take to long to get here in a timely manner and individuals involved are gone.
