8 mile in and out trek. Low end of moderate. Sometimes you feel as if you are 'cheating' to enjoy such pristine back country on a trail that is so easily accessible and only has 900 foot elevation gain over 3.75 miles! A few tips: the trail is intersected by numerous water run offs. We hiked in August, but my guess is that June may be too early with snow melt. We took last place in the parking lot on a weekday since it situates only about 15 vehicles. You may need/want to use the shuttle service. There is a QR code on site. There is a waterfall about 500 feet before intersection of the trail with Gore. You can loop to the right on Gore up the mountain and then catch Meadow Creek back down to Frisco. I suppose that would be about 11-12 miles with 2k elevation gain over 6 miles, but you'd want to consult someone who actually did the loop....

I parked on the side of the road and then started hiking, and the hike was good. It's not very steep, borderline easy / moderate. It also wasn't too long, and there's a teeny tiny waterfall on the trail over. The trail goes all the way until the Gore Range Trail, and it's mostly shaded though some parts are a bit muddy - definitely doable though and not a big deal. Took a little less than 2.5 hours,...

The first half mile is one of the most difficult portions - it goes uphill, and if you get winded, go slow and hang in there, because it will get easier and reward you amply. The initial uphill is followed by a long relatively level winding path through trees, meadows, ponds, wildflowers, waterfalls, and perhaps beaver dams. The birds were plentiful and amazingly we saw hummingbirds. The squirrels here ... A bit...
