We did the trail to the Jim and Molly Denton shelter in mid-July saturday. The entrance to the trail is about a foot wide byt later it gets several feet wide. It is mostly well kept except with sone stretches of brambles and grass leaving about 9"-1 foot of walking space. The elevation gain is steep enough that it gives a good work out. It The trail goes up and down so it gives a break from a contious climbing. The shelter is a good spot for relaxing. Trombo Hollow vista is mediocore, especially in middle of summer when vegetation is like 3-4 ft tall around the trail. The trail is mostly dirt except a small stretch...

I will admit to not being super prepared but i am from out of state and wanted to check out some of the views here. The trail has some steepness too it and is mostly mild incline the entire way before you reach the rest stop.
