Read moreWe came upon this park by accident, and are so glad we did! What a hidden gem! We were able to find parking in the shade (twice), and it was a pretty walk down a gently-sloped boardwalk to where the Duck Lake River meets Lake Michigan. You have the choice of swimming in Duck Lake, or the shallow, sandy river that meets Lake Michigan, or in Lake Michigan itself. This is the only downside to the location. Drivers are generally cautious in the area, but as we all know, we can't expect that, so be alert on your way...
