This is a great place to see Bald Eagle activity! Granted, it is one of the most popular viewing sites in probably all of the United States for eagles, so be prepared for larger crowds of photographers, especially on days when they release trout into the river. On a good weather day, it is not uncommon to see over 200 photographers here, with lenses from simple 200mm to top of the line professional $30,000+ lense setups. The park is laid out nicely along the water's edge, so there is usually always a place to set up your tripod and gear, but if you want to actually set up on the concrete fisherman's wharf, come early. Like 8am if possible. Most eagle activity is centered on the opposite side of the river, so you will need a good lens to really bring them in close - at least a 600mm lens. And, if it rains like in 2018, it's a smaller Niagara Falls a little closer to home.
No climbing fences along the walkway and no flying drones. There's a group of vultures at the entrance and warnings that they may damage your vehicle. Never saw that happen but the sign must be based...

The photos I'm posting today were taken in front of the visitors center. I'll be posting more photos than the ones at the visitor's center soon (visitors center photos are on my phone... the others are on my Nikon).
If you want to see a lot of raptors, this is a great place to go! Two thumbs...
