Old Honeycutt Road Park — Attraction in Fuquay-Varina

UPDATE: the playground has been torn down. I am hoping that the Town of Fuquay-Varina plans to rebuild and that the new one is more accessible.

Always a family favorite. Three soccer fields, a fantastic playground with rubber mulch (unfortunately not wheelchair friendly), a .25 mile walking loop around one of the soccer fields, two pavilions, two tennis courts, and restrooms.

The park is advertised as having pickleball courts which is misleading . There are 2 tennis courts. Each is lined out for 2 pickleball courts. First there are not pickleball nets. You must bring your own. Second the back or service line on the fence end only has an 18-24 inch distance from the fence. Not nearly enough room to serve or stand to receive a deep serve. Nice playground with plenty of seating for parents/those not playing which is rare these days. As a parent that has gotten confused over many of the more modern additions to public playgrounds(is that a really narrow slide with no cup to protect one from sliding off prematurely? Or is it an uphill tightrope with no supports???), this location contains 100% easily identifiable obstacles/things to do. Would...
