There is so much overgrown shrubs and trees that you cannot even see the tunnels from any of the benches. In fact you can only see the tunnels somewhat clearly from one spot in the park. In order to see them clearly you have to stand on the bridge. The train schedule is quite old, and needs to be updated as we sat there waiting for the next scheduled train to come through, and it never did.

The summit of the Pennsylvania RR ( now Norfolk Southern) Main Line from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh and Chicago. Small museum( with bathrooms )and a caboose are added bonuses.Caboose was open, and it was neat watching trains go by standing on the back platform of the caboose. Some picnic tables available.

Kid loves going up there to watch the trains go by. They do have a museum but wasn't open when we went. We did get to walk through an old PRR caboose that looked like what it would when they used them. Little area to let kids run around with wooden train they can play on.

This is a very nice railfanning facility, with a small viewing platform on north side and one caboose. In addition, they have photo openings on the bridge fences as well, this is so sweet. Thump up for the town and railway company for making this happen.

Interesting to see, especially if you are a train buff. A freight train came through while we were here. Next to museum. Museum was closed but will have to come back at a later time. Good lookout point to stand and watch the trains and/or photograph.

Learned of the Gallitzin Tunnels from a local and what a cool spot to check out! If you’re lucky you will see a train heading to or fro the World Famous Horseshoe Curve. Was able to capture a train heading west from Horseshoe Curve!
