Loved visiting this beach. Overall the beach is pretty clean, a lot of dead seaweed and pointy twigs form near the shore though. Great for walks, swimming, or playing in the sand. Personally, I loved walking on the beach at night with my dog. The water is pretty clean but not very clear. Plenty of fish farther in the water great for fishing. Also at night there are a lot of crabs. I recommend you visit this beach! Very pretty. :)

A nice stretch of beach where we walked endlessly at sunset. Really pretty and relaxing. Plenty of birds flying overhead. It was low tide when we were there and the beach was super clean with smooth sand. Sand is more on the silty side. We parked our SUV so we could sit on the rear tailgate and enjoy the churning of the small waves against the coastline. My blood pressure was reduced significantly.

Nice and quiet beach. The colourful bubbles seems to have been left by the little mermaid, who, in the legend story, was heartbroken as she resisted the spell to kill her loving prince. At the moment of the sunrise, she lost herself to the spell and melted down into beautiful bubbles on the beach... The witness might have been only the seagulls and sandpipers.

Great place to sit back and relax on the cleanest beach I have ever been on. ♡ The Goods ♡ The beach is clean and offers blue bins where trash may be disposed of. The community is kind and helpful with others. Water was clean and smooth as could be.

◇ The Bad Side... ◇ (Huh, and only one) Some cars do get stuck on the gorgeous sand. It can be quite hard to get it out unless you have a party to push it out. However, if I were to give any advice for anyone who gets their car stuck... simply get out and begin to remove the sand from in front of each wheel. Once you make a small path, you drive once more and repeat if needed. It got my father's truck out of a pickle with his huge truck.

Other than that, this...

My favourite beach access point on the island. It's far enough away that you can avoid a bunch of the tourist stuff, right next to the state park, and not so far away that you have to deal with Jamaica Beach speed zones.

Hermit crabs galore on the first sand bar, decent surf fishing, and not too many houses nearby (thanks to the park). The road does tend to get washed out sometimes though, so just be aware of that (check before driving into water you can't...
