The beach was ok for Galveston, the water wasn’t super kelpy or too brown. What is making me leave such a low review for a generally good beach is what happened at the showers. They are supposed to turn the water off at 6, so we finished up at the beach at around 5:30-45 and got to using the showers. There was a truck parked there that we didn’t really notice that comes into play later. Seeing as there wasn’t anyplace that was clean to set our stuff down we took turns holding each other’s stuff while we showered. First my sister, then my mom rinsed off, and while my mom was using the water it suddenly shut off. We checked the time to make sure it wasn’t 6 and it was 5:55. We then realized he was the one to turn the water off ahead of time while people were using it. I wouldn’t be as mad if he had just talked to us and told us he was turning it off soon because that would have made us faster considering he turned it off early. Then we had to go to Buc-ee’s to finish...
Read moreVery crowded, but clean beach. Def one of the better beaches in the Galveston area. The cops patrolling the parking are not the best, parking signs are good in some areas and missing in others. Thankfully a good samaritan was also waiting to warn families about what was happening to help prevent others from getting a ticket. Beach police will sit in their car and watch you make a parking “mistake” and...
