Appalachian Trail to Indian Gap — Attraction in Gatlinburg

The trail was fun. It is a bit difficult to navigate if you have any knee, or back problems be careful. For this specific hike it goes up to two other trail heads. This was 1.7 miles in. You almost get the best view of the mountains at the parking lot or 1/4 of the way into the hike. We bought a parking pass for here but just encase we needed it. There...

Great hike. Parking was difficult, we had to circle the lot 3 times before we found someone who was leaving. Hiked from Newfound Gap to Charley's Bunion. Trail wasn't too crowded, even though it was Memorial Day weekend. Awesome views. Charley's Bunyon is cool, but I highly recommended taking the offshoot trail on the way back. A very popular spot for visitors to the Smoky Mountain National Park. Plenty of places to park and easy access to restrooms.
