Ben Morton Overlook is hands down the most stunning viewpoint I’ve encountered in the park. The lush, rolling mountains stretch endlessly into the distance, and the way the road winds gently through the valley adds a unique, almost cinematic touch to the view. It feels like a hidden gem—peaceful, panoramic, and perfect for photos or just soaking in the natural beauty.

This is one of the best views in the Smoky Mountains, and it's just off the road. It's a great spot for a time-lapse of the clouds, the hanging fog in the mountains, or the sunset. If you are planning on visiting for sunset, be sure to get there early so you can find space for your car. There isn't much space to park, especially if it's in the evening and the weather is nice. I recommend sunset views in May,...

This spot is a perfect place to check out sunset. Be mindful of the direction of the sun based on the time of the year as I did not and it set behind a nearby ridge. However, this was still an amazing spot to take in the view of the valley below and thanks to an inversion had am amazing cloud view as we were swallowed by the clouds. Not much parking but I believe there was a second spot not too far up...
