Great spot for the views, probably the nicest point at the top that we saw.
The trail terrain is easy, the distance from the base makes it intermediate. There's no scrambling and the gradient remains pretty consistent throughout the entire route if doing the Alum cave trail to Mount LeConte.
The campsite at the top doesn't do tea/coffee but I think does some refreshments, definitely water. They also have a shop for clothing as it's a famous campsite and accessible...
