If you head out toward the Laurel Falls trail junction from here you'll have a pretty consistent medium grade incline almost the entire way. I'm not a huge fan of the lower section but once you get past the Metcalf Bottoms trail junction in Little Brier Gap I love the rest of the trail on up to Laurel...
