We have mixed feelings regarding our first visit.
First, the waivers. While you do have the opportunity to fill it out in advance, and do it from a kiosk or your cell phone this seems ridicioulus at this point. When I go to Michigan's Adventure or any other water park my purchase of the ticket is my acceptance of the waiver. Can we jump into this decade and get caught up to everyone else?
Second, the life jackets. While I understand that children and anyone under the age of 18 probably should wear a life jacket, mandating full grown adults to wear one for a swim in a lake is just plain INSANE!!!
Third, the restaurant. If I could give the restaurant -10 stars I would. Similar to other 'parks', your paying top tier price for medicore food. That's not surprising. What killed this review was the restaurant. No cheese for the pizza, but cheese for everything else. Really? Send a buss boy to Meijer's pick up some. Our waitress was absolutely horrible. She disappeared for extended amount of time. She was very rude to us when asking for a dinner menu at 430pm. While we understood we couldn't order anything until 5pm, she told us mutliple times within a 30 minute period we can't order anything until 5. We understood, however one of our companions wanted to wait until 5 for an item on the menu. When one of items ordered wasn't delivered with the rest of the food she blamed us by saying it was ordered with the dinner menu and would come out at the same time. It wasn't. It was a kids mac and cheese. My best advice is to just avoid the restaurant at all costs. Eat before, eat in the parking lot, sneak in food. Whatever it takes. Save your money and frustration.
While we were here, beyond the items above our kids had a great time at the water park. There is plenty to do and they had a blast. Its nice to have another option besides MA which costs a fortune and its busy as all hell. I'm sure we will be back, we would just 'do it differently'.
Please for next year, put the liabilty waiver on the back of a ticket. Get a new insurance who doesn't demand all patrons where a life vest and do something better with...

I have been to this establishment 3 years in a row but this will be our last time visiting. I am appalled at the actions of one lifeguard. She acted like a DRILL SARGENT and would get on her megaphone and just yell and argue with kids. It was really unprofessional and seemed super excessive. My friend I am with is a teacher and she is like what is this girls problem. She is targeting certain kids and really being rude:
Toward the end of the day she started targeting our group of 5 kids aged 11-14. She started yelling at them for βplaying and having funβ. My son at one time Was being very loud and silly and she took it as a personal Attack so I stepped in and explained to her my son is vey tall and looks older than he is and that he has autism so heβs not trying to not listen. He is just overstimulated and being a bit louder and sillier than normal. She didnβt care. She ended up kicking my son out and telling me the owner told her to just kick people out that donβt listen to her. I called my son out of the water and told her the lifeguard had an issue with him. He stuck his hand out to shake her hand and she refused him and said you are out of the water the rest of the day. He didnβt understand and said he had no idea she was even talking to him. He tried to explain himself and she just said YOU ARE OUT and stormed away.
I came to look on here if anyone else had an issue like this and I see that this week alone they have been on a power trip of throwing kids out and not really letting you talk about anything. Itβs just an Iβm Rightβ¦you are wrong type of thing. We had our eyes on our kids and never saw anything that would warrant being ejected from the water. Very disappointing for sure as this was a fun place we all enjoyed.
We also had issues with food. The restaurant took over an hour to bring us food. They were out of pulled Pork. It took us 30 min to get two drinks. Very big waste of...
Β Β Β Read moreI wish there was an option for zero stars. This place ruined my life. The review written by Heather Bouwkamp is about my experience at this water park. A year later and I still feel just as angry about the events that unfolded after I shattered my ankle in the middle of the obstacle course. I did in fact lay in the middle of the lake for an hour waiting for EMS. There were only two lifeguards on duty, and if it had happened a minute later there would have only been one. The staff was absolutely unprepared for a situation such as this. I myself was a lifeguard for two years at a more established company. They are most definitely violating the codes that require multiple lifeguards to be on duty on bodies of water that size. While I lay there, the lifeguard refused medical support from the MANY off duty first responders. To add to an extremely stressful situation, it took them almost 20 minutes just to call 911. They didnβt clear onlookers from the beach, so I could hear young children screaming and crying while I lay there in agony. My husband had to sit there and hold my mangled leg upright because I was in too much shock to keep it up.
I have relived the events that unfolded that day almost every single day. My life is forever changed by this injury. I would NEVER suggest a visit to this establishment. It is truly a floating liability, and I do hope they take better precautions to make it safer. They wouldnβt even refund our tickets, which is pretty sad considering we were only there for an hour before I got hurt.
Note to the park: Please take what happened that day and use it to reflect on the safety protocols and training that you give your staff. I know it was extremely stressful for those two lifeguards to handle, and it was absolutely unfair that they were the only two on duty. I would never wish this to happen to another soul. Please make...
