Lake Lanier Olympic Park is a beautiful and well-maintained park located in Gainesville, Georgia. It was built for the 1996 Olympic Rowing and Canoe/Kayak Competitions, and the original timing tower remains today. This was a nice little park to visit. On one side of the street, there are picnic areas and a small beach. There are some great trees for shade, and beautiful views of the lake. The restroom was clean, a definite plus. There's a pedestrian tunnel going under the street to the other side where you can put your boat in the lake. There's plenty of places to sit and enjoy the water views on that side. Also some beautiful flowers. 🥰 I did pick up some trash, but otherwise it was a lovely visit!

We recently visited this park for a dragon boat race and had a great time! The park is spacious, well-maintained, and perfect for events. However, if you're attending a big event, be prepared for some traffic. There are only two ways in, so it's a good idea to plan for an extra 15-20 minutes to get in. Overall, a fantastic place to enjoy outdoor activities!

This is a cute little park. No playground but they do have a small beach. Its free. Closes at 10pm. The road splits the park so make sure you visit both sides. There is a underground tunnel so you don't have to drive to each side. The beach side even has a place where you can rent kayaks. Cute little place and NEVER crowded unless they are having an event. I use the beach side as my track then hop over to the stadium for my...
