I went to Nickajack Park for the first time. I was out looking for a park that had a basketball court. I've passed by this street several times and never noticed the park. I'm happy I found it! The park has a playground, swings, slides, Baseball/kickball fields, Tennis courts and basketball court. One of the tennis courts is a combination of a tennis court and basketball court. They also have a picnic/pavilion area and restrooms. ( I didn't go into restroom so I'm not sure if they are open during the week or if they are clean) Overall the park was clean and quiet. This is a great park for celebrating a birthday and having fun. There is a gazebo, basketball courts, tennis and pickleball courts, and soft ball fields. We took it old school and played kickball. The bathrooms are clean and heated! I'm hoping in the summer, the bathrooms have air conditioning. There are mountain bike trails, we saw some brave riders going down the steep hills. It is accessible for rental drops offs, i.e, barbeque pits and/or table and chairs.

Visited for a pickleball event which was run well. I just question the safety of coming down the unpaved hill from the parking lot. It had just rained, its a little steep & muddy. Should consider putting in steps. There also should be a few benches in the tennis court area. Definitely need more dedicated pickleball courts.

So I came here for pickleball on Monday. They have a really good beginners round robin. The tennis(converted to pickleball) and basketball courts looked to be in great shape. It was good to pay others at my level. The park over all looks nice and very clean. There was a group of young ladies under the pavilion learning to dance, looked kind of like line dancing. Seemed to be plenty of parking. I didn't use the restrooms so I don't know if they were clean or if they looked like a road side gas station that has been blown up by a truck driver who should have stopped two...

The tennis courts are in excellent condition. There are four total courts, and they have lights, but I've never seen them on. One of the lights looks like it caught on fire or something like that. It has a gravel parking lot, and you must walk down a semi-steep hill on a dirt pathway to reach the tenis courts. I do recommend bringing a blower to blow off all the leaves (and I mean a lot of leaves) that fall on the court. But, Don't tell anyone about these courts... I enjoy not waiting on a court when I play...
