love this beach and come here often. today i had a not so great experience while attempting to pay my entry fee. The machine at the front never works correctly and typically takes a few tries. The man working the stand was rude and unhelpful. everytime i swiped my car he asked me “did it work?” which was extremely annoying because if it worked i would not be swiping my card again obviously. He then came and tried it himself and it didn’t work and asked me for another card after he kept cutting me off and rudely saying my card wouldn’t work and i need another. i told him the machine is not great and always takes me a few tries to get it to work and he said “then why don’t you have the season pass” i told him i didn’t want it to which he gave me a rude look and swiped my other card. that man was so fully of himself and you could tell he just likes to put young women down because he lives a sad unfulfilling life. The other women typically working there have always been polite and kind to me but to the older man working today in the red and black shirt you have no kindness in your body and should be fired. get a life and stop taking out your...
Read moreThis is quite a gem of a place, it has sand beach, sunny area to get your tan, and water is perfect and clear.
There is small island that you can walk to or swim to and explore. It has 5$ entry fee per vehicle. There are some deeper areas around beach for young kids hence life jackets recommended. Of you do not have life jackets you can rent them.
Boaters and jet skis have a huge lake for themselves and are suppose to keep off this Beach. Even kayaking on lake is fun. There are few ramps that help in and out of lake easily.
There are picking benches in wooded and shades. Every 2 bench there is grill. It's good for family time and grilling. You may need to carry tent if you want to stay on beach, as there is no shade.
Best time to visit is late afternoon as crowd is less. Sunset shades are really nice sit and enjoy.
There are campgrounds in walking distance and can be...

The bathrooms are always so dirty though, and never have soap. I also hate that so many people litter cigarette butts, plastic cups, bottle caps, and trash all over the beach- especially when there are so many geese and ducks that use the beach and could get seriously hurt from all of...
