We love this park, the site is HUGE, there's a lot of toys, and the people that bring their dogs are a great group of folks.
We love going there with our pups. It's run by the Germantown Parks and Rec, so you have to be a memeber with them to gain access. The nice thing about this, is that to become a member, you need to register with Germantown Parks and Rec. They will want to see records that your dogs are current on their shots, so it won't be harmful to the other dogs at the park.
They will provide you with a keycard that will give you access to the two parks. One is for little dogs, one is for larger dogs. Though, I know many people with smaller dogs that come to the main side because they all play so well together.
I let people in my neighborhood know about this place when they mention looking for a park for their dogs. The cost is reasonable, and the play time wtih the other dogs (and talking to the humans) is...
Read moreIt's a pretty tranquil little park nestled inside a Germantown neighborhood. The dog park section of the park is kept behind a locked gate. If you pay for membership, you do get to enjoy one side for larger breeds and one side for smaller breeds. Aside from the canine options, Forgey offers a fun playground for the kiddos along with mini grills for BBQ. The park offers fishing, but I've never seen anything bigger than a blue gill in the front pond. I've haven't tried the more secluded back pond yet.
